With the car finished literally days before the sixth round of the WORCS series race at Washougal, Wash., earlier this month — and absolutely no time for practice — DragonFire-sponsored driver William Yokley showed everyone just how well the new DragonFire Racing XP 955 Big Bore Kit really works under pressure.

Yokley set out to tame the relentless hills of Washougal MX Park as part of the National Guard Polaris Coastal DragonFire Yokley Racing Team, in a car prepped by Nick and Travis from DragonFire. And he did so, picking up a first-place finish after missing a turn and dropping back a bunch of positions.

Getting off to a good start, Yokley looked like he was on top of the world with his National Guard Polaris Ranger RZR XP 900 running in fourth place into the woods. Hot on his heels was National Guard’s Scott Kiger. But when Yokley overshot a turn and lost several positions, he remained cool, calm and collected, battling his way back up to second place. Then, on the last lap, Yokley put the throttle to the XP 955 Big Bore Kit, diving into the woods and snatching first place all the way to the finish line.

Kiger finished third, which put both National Guard machines on the podium.

Yokley’s winning car featuredDFR’s new front gusset, Big Bore Kit, DragonFire front A arms, DragonFire Yosh pipe and PIM controller, FireBreather air intake, DragonFire race doors, Harnesses and a host of other DFR goodies.

Racing and performance have always been a big part of what we do here at DragonFire and we’re pretty darned happy to have William Yokley racing on our side.

We look forward to a 2011 GNCC title with our new RZR XP 900 performance products. Yokley increased his season point lead with the win, and Kiger moved up to third in points. Overall, it was a very good day for the team. We can’t wait for the next round!
